The Time My Cousin Almost Got Her Senior-Year Job Revoked

This whole genre of story is like a rabbit hole with no bottom. Everyone has either had this happen to them or knows someone it happened to. It’s like principals automatically assume the worst of their students. It’s like they believe that 12 years of Bais Yaakov education was a complete waste of time. This one is from Penina about her cousin.

This happened to my cousin. She comes from a large family. One time, when she was in 12th grade, during Bein Hazmanim, they all went out for pizza together. At some point, between the ordering and the bathroom breaks, she was left alone at the table with her brother. Not that long — but long enough for someone to see them and rush that information along the spy network to the principal. The next day she got called in for a lecture, and almost had her 12th grade job revoked. I don’t know what she said that convinced the principal that she was innocent; this was just a story she regaled us with at the family Chanukah party.
